Kindness works best when it’s organised, and that’s what we do. We’re a recognised, community-powered organisation working to protect animals and the people who love them. From street care and humane education to policy advocacy and rapid response, we turn compassion into systems that last.
Recognised. Responsible. Ready to Help
The Animal Protection Society (APS) is a registered, non-profit society dedicated to safeguarding animals through prevention, protection, and public participation. We combine hands-on care with policy engagement so animals are safer at home and on farms. In the wild, an approach inspired by global leaders like World Animal Protection, whose mission to move the world for animals informs how we communicate, train, and advocate.

Mission & Values
To prevent cruelty, reduce suffering, and improve the lives of animals by making humane care practical for families, workable for cities, and accountable for institutions. We believe what’s good for animals is good for people and the planet, an ethos echoed globally.
What We Do: From Street Corners to Policy Corridors
Community Animals
First-aid, feeder mentorship, ABC & ARV coordination with civic partners, and colony mapping that reduces conflict and disease.
Humane Education
Bite-prevention, responsible pet care, and kindness curricula for schools, RWAs, and workplaces modeled on global welfare standards.
Farmed & Working Animals
Practical welfare steps (housing, handling, vet care) and awareness on antimicrobial stewardship because better welfare protects livelihoods, too.
Advocacy & Preparedness
Policy literacy, grievance pathways, disaster SOPs, and rapid coordination during heatwaves, floods, and disease outbreaks.
Story teaser:
“Asha was found with a leg wound near the market. With timely first-aid, follow-up vet care, and a caring feeder network, she’s back to her sunny self.”
